Front End Web Developer
Clayton Homes, Maryville, TN, September 2010 — June 2016
Developed and maintained the front end of large-scale .NET-driven websites for Retail Stores, Manufacturing Facilities, and Corporate, in an agile environment.
Taught other developers best practices about HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and frequently helped problem-solve.
Spearheaded efforts to convert all Clayton home center sites, as well as the corporate site, to mobile-friendly responsive design. These updates were completed just before Google implemented their new mobile-friendly ranking algorithm. This resulted in higher search engine rankings for the home centers, as well as a better user experience on mobile devices.
Developed a drag and drop interface for a home search tool, which allows users to search for a home layout visually.
Developed a parallax scrolling website about how Clayton Homes are built. This page was so engaging that users spent an average of nearly three minutes on it.
